Had a great Friday morning coffee and chat with my business family Network Ireland Cork this morning. It’s always good to just have a chat and a bit of connection. When I first joined the network in the Summer of last year I didn’t know what to expect. I guess I was anxious that I would not know what to say or that my business wasn’t established enough or (insert lots of ridiculous fears here), but it has been a tonic for me in terms of being able to cope with the loneliness associated with self employment paired with lockdown. This group of women have been friendly, encouraging and above all else human, just like me! It’s an honour to have my membership badge displayed as a member of the group in 2021. If anyone is considering joining Network Ireland or any networking group, but on the fence, try it for a year- you won’t regret it.
